Concrete finishing equipment are used for finishing concrete surface with smooth, rough, broom, texture or stipple finish while the it is still in plastic state. These equipment for concrete surface finishes are used globally for different requirement and aesthetical appearance.Contents:
Types of Concrete Finishing Equipment
1. Trowel Blade
This is a handheld concrete finishing tool generally used in small works such as plastering works. It is usually made of wood or plastic or steel and is available in market in various sizes as per the requirement. The use of trowel blades provides a hard polished finish on the surface of concrete, meanwhile eliminates the risk of leaving burnish marks on concrete.

2. Long Handle Float
The standard size of long handle float is 7" wide and it comes in different lengths upto 5 feet. Its gives a smooth finish for the concrete. It is attached with a long handle for the finishing works or large concrete surfaces. It is made from high quality tempered flexible steel, the blade also features round ends prevent marking and gouging while creating a smooth surface.

3. Power Trowels
It is a light concrete finishing equipment used for the finishing of concrete surfaces. It has a set of trowels attached to the powerful motor, which rotates at high speed on the concrete surface giving the concrete a nice and smooth finish. It is divided into 2 types. 3.1 Ride-on power trowels In ride on power trowels, operated sits on the machine and operates the machinery for smooth finishing of concrete

4. Mechanical Tube Finisher
A mechanical tube finisher consists of single or multiple rotating strike-off/finish tubes setting. The length of the finish tubes is required to be a minimum of 2 ft longer than the required width of the concrete surface to be finished. It is commonly used in the pavement finishing works.

5. Vibratory Screed Finisher
A vibratory screed finisher consists of a truss frame with a minimum base width of 1 ft. It is fixed with mechanical driven eccentric weights or with auxiliary driven pneumatic vibrators for the accomplishment of vibratory action on the concrete. It is also commonly used in the pavement finishing works.

6. Tining Machine
Tining is process of forming uniform transverse grooves in the plastic concrete. It is done when an another layer of concrete is to applied on the surface, for better jointing. Tining is done by both hand tining tool or mechanical tining machine. The tining device uses a texturizing comb with steel tines spaced as specified. The grooves are placed in the pavement to provide additional skid resistance and eliminate hydroplaning.

7. Concrete Edger
Edgers produce a neat rounded edge along the slab perimeter which helps the slab resist chipping and spalling damage after the forms are removed. On most floors, edging will not be required, but on patios, curbs, sidewalks, and driveways, it produces a tighter, cleaner looking edge that is more resistant to chipping.

8. Broom
A good broom finish is something of an art. A steel broom is used to get a rough and decorative concrete surfaces. It is created decorative effects by running the broom texture in various directions.

9. Cove Trowel
A “cove finish,” also known as a “mag swirl finish,” has become especially popular for driveways and outdoor areas that need a little bit of extra traction without holding too much dirt. This trowel has fine edge on two sides and saw shaped edges on other two sides. With the use of the teeth, various patterns can be made.
