- Should be grey & not any rusted color.
- Bend Test
- Bend the bar at 180° & observe the behavior of the rebar.
- Re-Bend Test
- Bend the bar at 135° & observe the behavior of the rebar.
- Place it in 100°C hot water for 30 mins. Then bend at 157.5° & observe the behavior of the rebar.

But as you mentioned in the question about his safety, yes the M sand safe for construction purposes up to some extent and after using some admixtures. Basically, rivers and is very costly. And the sands of the river selling on the base of weight. If M sand is available in the local area as it is the best choice to use. In Hyderabad, most of the power plants use a Robo sand or M sand and rock sand. Because the rivers are situated far away from the city location.

Crazing often occur within a few hours of plaster being applied to the wall and cracks may hardly be visible until dust or moisture makes them noticeable. These cracks normally occurs when a plaster mix with a high cement content is used or the plaster is allowed to dry too quickly.
