    Fly Ash is a product or furnace slag received form metal factories and power plants by burning or combustion of coal as fuel.     Fly Ash is a product or furnace slag received form metal factories and power plants by burning or combustion of coal as fuel.

    The maximum percentage of fly ash or 15% by weight of cement shall be replaced by fly ash.

    #less percentage does not affect any properties of concrete or cement

    #more fly ash reduces the strength of concrete and durability of concrete.

    Adequate % of fly ash makes concrete economical and more durable.

    Because it reduces the quantity of cement, and slow hydration prevents cracks in concrete.

    Fly ash is available in the market cheaper than cement.

    3-if necessary to cut or break structural member than avoid cutting of reinforcement .

    Methodes for repairs

    #divert this pipe by using 45 degree bend or sue bend and fill brick wall with brickbat and rich mortar and grout beam with finer aggregate concrete(using 6 to mm aggregate)

    #if above option is not possible than do plywood centring on wall face coveing pipe and cutout with support and grout as above, and plaster it using mesh on cutout and pipe surface.

    for Mix 1:2:4 water requirement would be- Plain concrete(moderate) The Minimum cement content for M15=240 kg/ m3 and min water cement ratio =water/cement =0.60 =water/240=0.60 Min water requirement for mix=240*.60=120 liters It is also depend upon climate condition,method of mixing and the purpose oRead more
