Suspension bridge is required two cables strung on the high tower and on each side of the area to be a bridge. Then after the roadway is hung on vertical suspenders attached to the suspension cables.
Cable stayed bridge is similar to the suspension bridge, but It is different, in this bridge support cables are directly tied with support towers. It allows cantilever construction from inside to out easily.

The difference is how the cables are associated with the towers. In suspension bridges, there are major suspension cables and minor suspension cables that ride freely across the towers, transferring the loads to the anchorages at both ends. In cable-stayed bridges, they do not need anchorages. The cables are attached to the towers, which alone bear the load.
The cable-stayed bridge
if any car is traveling on the bridge, here is the load transmission.

Cable stayed bridges have a competitive span range of 150m to 1000m, with a deck span: depth ratio of 1:40 to 1:200
Suspension bridges, however, have a competitive span range of 800m to 2000m, with a deck span: deck ratio of 1:100 to 1:200
So the length of the bridge range is the key one (there are different elements). As an extra focal point for you, the main difference between cable-stayed bridges and suspension bridges is that the cables in a cable-stayed bridge are mechanically stressed (prestressed), while a suspension bridges cables are not.

Cable stayed bridges may look similar to suspension bridges. They both have roadways that hang from cables and both have towers. But the two bridges support the load of the roadways in very different ways. The difference lies in how the cables are connected to the towers . In suspension bridges, the cable ride freely across the towers, transmitting the load to the anchorages at either end. In cable stayed bridges, the cables are attached to the towers, which alone bear the load.
The cable can be attached to the roadway in a variety of ways. In a radial pattern cables extend from several points on the road to a single point at the top of the tower. In a parallel pattern, cables are attached at different heights along tower running parallel to one another.
