    Vena contracta is the point in a fluid stream where the diameter of the stream is the least and fluid velocity is at its maximum, such as in the case of the stream issuing out of a nozzle. It is a place where cross section area is minimum.

    Geodetic surveying

    In geodetic surveying, the curvature of the earth is taken into account while taking surveying. In this surveying conducted a larger area. Geodetic surveying is mainly conducted to determine the precise positions on the earth surface. It is also called as Trigonometrical surveying.

    Plane Surveying

    In-plane surveying, the curvature of the earth is ignored because surveying is conducted in small areas. The degree of accuracy is low as compared to Geodetic surveying.

    A tachometer is used to measure the distance between the two points with the use of an analytical lens. There are two methods

    1. Stadia method: In this method diaphragm of the tachometer are provided with two stadia hair .the difference between staff intercept gives stadia reading.
    2. Tangential Method: in this method, the tachometer is not provided with stadia hairs, the reading is taken by single horizontal hair.

    D=(f/L)S + (f + d)

    D=horizontal distance between tachometer and stadia rod.

    f/L = multiplying constant

    S= Staff Intercept

    Elevation formula:

    v = KSsin(2©)/2 + Ccos(2©)

    © = Theta= Angle of elevation or depression.

    K & C = Tachometric Constant

    substance method and tangential method is also used to find the elevation between two points.

    Minimum pressure gauge for galvanized iron testing :

    • Minimum yield strength of finished top tube should be 50000 psi
    • Minimum tensile strength for the finished tube shall be 55000 psi
    • The mechanical property of the finished surface of the cube is mainly depended upon the tube size and gauge.
    • Generally galvanized iron pipes are used for the distribution of treated as well as raw water in rural and urban areas
    • Such type of pipes are very cheaper and its weight is very very light so that it can handle anywhere.
    • The tensile strength of galvanized iron pipe shall be at least 320 Newton per mm square.
    • The test shall be carried out on full section cut from the selected tubes in accordance with IS1608 and IS 12278

    Let me correct your concept, in septic tank detention period off 24 hours is considered. In this case,

    the rate of flow of influent= rate of flow of effluent.

    Septic tank is to be designed in such a way that see wait is retained in the tank for 24 hours and all the biological decomposition in the absence of air that is an aerobic bacteria takes place and breaks the soil which living a very small quantity of soil which is commonly called as sludge which settles at the bottom. And the clearwater which out from the tank is known as effluent.

    As you asked in question the 30 minutes is regarding the washing time of the tank.

    There are two pens attached. If you move the primary pin on the map, after setting a desired scale, the secondary pen draws the same map scaled to the scale you set.
