CLOSER: Closer is a small piece of a brick cut along the lengthwise so that the one long face remain uncut to maintain the bond pattern at the end of the masonry walls.
TYPES OF CLOSERS;
QUEEN CLOSER: A closer when we cut a brick along it,s length into two halves which are equal to each other.
KING CLOSER: King closer is a closer bigger than a half brick, more specifically a brick with one corner cut away making the header at that end half the width of a brick.
BEVELED CLOSER: A kind of a closer in which the total length of a brick is chamfered in such a manner that the half-width is maintained at one end and full length on the other face end.
MITRED CLOSER; The one end of a brick is splayed for full width with an angle of 45 to 60 degrees. The face of a longer brick is of full length, and the splayed end is of a shorter end.

When a brick is cut in a longitudinal direction and put it at the end of the course is called a Closer.
Closer helps the joints of the successive source to align in a vertical line. The various types of closer are defined as below:
1. King Closer
It is obtained by cutting the triangular piece from half of the longer side and half of the shorter side, as shown in the below figure.
2. Queen Closer:-
It is obtained by cutting the brick in a longitudinal direction and made two equal parts of brick, as shown in the below figure.
3. Bevelled Closer:-
It is a special type of a king closer in which the whole length is beveled in such a way that the shorter side half-width is maintained as it is, as shown in the below figure.
4. Mitred Closer:-
In this closer, the one end splayed for full width, and the angle of splayed is 45° to 60°, as shown in the below figure.
