would be graduating this year,in May. And like you,I have things like private jobs or PSUs,or MBA or IAS/IES,etc…
Presuming that you do not want to opt for higher studies (otherwise you must have been sure by now),I would suggest you to give time to yourself, actually introspect and find out if there is something that interests you in the field,if you want a job in the core field?…
These are the basic ideas I have-
1. If you money is what you want and you don’t care whether your career grows up or is stalled, PSU is what you are looking for!
Prepare for GATE because PSUs barely do campus recruitment now.(for Civil Engineers)
2. If you want your technical knowledge to be put to test, you want to earn by toiling and learning,go for the private sector. If you don’t know yet,
BUT
If you doubt it,here’s this for inspiratio

The carrier path shows many of the options available for civil engineers who have choosen a carrier in government such as local, state and federal agencies. Some leave the technical engineering path as they progress and move into government management. At this level, additional leadership training and education in public administration or business management is recommemded. Whether planning to stay on the technical track or not, government engineers should seek additional training in their area of technical expertise to advance within their organizations.Government engineers are often involved in developing policy and standards for the profession and general public.
Civil engineers in academia are involved with teaching the next generation of engineers and developing engineering curriculum that prepares students with the knowledge they need to succeed in their careers. This career path requires an advanced degree, including a doctorate in most cases. Engineering educators write grants to obtain research funding and work with graduate students to conduct research aimed at developing advancements in the field of engineering. At many academic institutions, publishing research findings and obtaining grant funding for your academic institution are key elements to success. Additionally, facilitating student learning and achieving recognition as a top performing teacher help make this a fulfilling career choice.
In construction, civil engineers may work for a contractor to create the built environment, transforming engineering and architectural design drawings from paper to reality. They are involved in projects of every size and complexity from airports, bridges, and tunnels to local roads and the water and wastewater lines to our homes. The core civil engineering curriculum provides an excellent foundation for the critical thinking necessary to work in the construction sector. Additional classes in project management, safety, scheduling, estimating, and risk management are recommended. As construction is hands on, early field experience is essential to building your career. Civil engineers in the construction sector are instrumental in building and maintaining the world we live in.

If you are a civil engineer then there are so many options, choose your career according to your interest.
I am suggesting the following career as I know about it. it is based on a master’s degree.
If you like calculation, design, software, etc. then start your master’s in structural engineering.
It could be the hardest course in civil engineering. you need to be a hard-working and intelligent enough to do structural engineering.
As we know, online businesses getting higher in-demand. even the business related to civil engineering is also getting online.
So, the company could need copyright protection in our field also.
The advocates related to the construction filed also could be in-demand because, in the mega projects, the higher money is involved. so, you can earn much more in the present or in the future if you are an advocate with civil.
Construction managers are needed most in the mega projects to save time and money. you could be paid higher if you get the job as a project manager.
The companies always need the sales executive and HR. so if you like marketing, you can do MBA after civil and you can be paid higher in some big companies.
If you like the material testing or educate the people you can choose Geotech.
If you like the railway and road planning and design you can go for transportation.
Infrastructure is also a growing discipline in India.
If you like surveying and GPS, you can choose this filed as your master’s degree.
Some of the career growth without a master’s degree can be following.
For buildings,
For other disciplines, if you like the transmission tower, water treatment, culvert, bridge, environment, etc, then start your training in the related company. they will grow you in their company.
Big companies always looking for fresher and talented people.
If you like to educate the people, then do your master’s degree according to your interest and apply in various colleges as an assistant professor then start the Ph. D. program will help in that particular field.

Career growth :
As a civil engineer, career growth is really important to stick in the field of construction.
Civil engineers have to rebuild bridges, upgrade and dams and repair roads
But if we want to go further then we should increase our educational as well as technical skill in the field of civil engineering.
As a structural engineer, I strongly recommend that after a bachelor degree in civil engineering, any graduate student must do his or her P.G.
PG is available in various fields, they are as follows;
Now I will tell you various types of jobs available after civil engineering,
