When should we opt for continuous footing?

The continuous footing is provided to supports more than two columns.
It is analogous to strip footing used to support walls. It transfers loads to beams and then beams to ground.
Continuous wall footing supports RCC wall and long masonry effectively.
Following are some other types of footing;

A continuous footing is the one which supports more than two columns. This footing is also called as strip footing and is analogous to the strip footing for wall. The loads from the individual columns are transferred either directly to the footing slab, or through a longitudinal beam running longitudinally when the loads are heavy.

The continuous footing is also called as strip footing.
Strip footing sir commonly used as foundations of load-bearing walls.
The footing usually has advised fitting as load-bearing wall and sometimes it is even wider than that.
The width, as well as the type of reinforcement, are depending on the bearing capacity of the foundation soil.
The continuous footing is a type of Shallow Foundation which supports more than two columns.
The continuous footing is used where the soil has good bearing capacity to resist load occurrence on the structure.

Continuous footing is used under walls and where the spacing between two individual footing is very small or they overlap.

A continuous footing, which is also called strip footing or wall footing, is used to support walls along their length. Sufficient overhangs are provided to ensure adequate footing bearing area.
Continuous footing is usually placed concentrically beneath walls. However, when a wall is adjacent to a property line, a continuous footing that is eccentric on one side would be required.
