    It is necessary to check the nature of the soil before you build your dream home. The ground where you are wanting to build your dream home, it is necessary to check the soil nature of it before starting construction work.

    Soil testing is first done to test the bearing capacity of the soil. The physical and chemical configuration of the soil is checked during this process. The soil must be able to withstand the load of the structure. The nature of soil decides the bearing limit as well as guarantees to decide the structural adjustment. The nature of soil relies on different factors, for example, climate, environmental change and for as far back as years the land was sent for what reason and what was there before.

    The length and depth of the footing are decided during the foundation relying on the nature of the soil. The water level of the soil can only be resolved from soil testing. In light of the soil testing results, the nature of the material can be chosen. For instance, because of dampness the zone is lead to corrosion, at that point it is essential to pick just corrosion safe TMT Bars for the construction.

    A soil test is a very significant step in construction before it starts. If the soil testing isn’t done, at that point the structure will be presented to various failures and the final result could be lethal.

    Why Install it in the slab? A solar panel is not a load bearing structure. You cannot use it for structural purposes. That is simply a bad decision because solar panels are costly and hence they need to be kept safe from damage. We can install them above the slab though if we wish to.

    But again, slabs are horizontal and it’s foolish to install a horizontal solar panel. You’ll never see it that way anywhere except for at the equator. That is because sunlight mostly falls at a slant and to grab maximum intensity, the solar panel has to be perpendicular to the sun rays which will never be horizontal. Beyond the tropics, sunlight will never fall vertical ever in a year. So, no chance of installing a solar panel in the slab. Only if there’s a non load bearing slab cast to hold the solar panel, then it might be possible but that too is a bad idea because it will unnecessarily add to building cost, time and weight.

    But, when we mix the concrete with an appropriate proportion manually then we need to add some extra amount of water in it to maintain consistency.

    In drum mixing, the drum is used to mix the concrete, but the Proportion of the concrete mix remains as it is.

    Ingredients & Manufacturing process Cement is made by heating limestone (CaCO3 & clay) to 1450oC in a kiln & grounded with gypsum. Pozzolana materials like fly ash, volcanic ash are blended to OPC @ 15%-35% by wt.
    Environmental impact Uses limestone clay & gypsum which are natural stones & emits CO2 during making. Consumes industrial wastes such as fly ash, bf slag, etc. & is environment friendly.
    Grades available 33, 43, 53 Grades Don’t have any grade but attains strength of 33 grade cement on 228 days curing. After that its strength gain slows down.

    Fineness OPC has finiteness of 225 sq.m/kg. It has lower fineness than PPC. So, it has higher permeability resulting lower durability. PPC has finiteness of 300 sq.m/kg. It has higher fineness than OPC. So, it has lower permeability resulting in higher durability.
    Heat of Hydration It contains active salt hence more Heat of Hydration. Don’t have blended material & it gains 95% early strength in 7 days. Blended cement with flyash or slag, etc. Low heat of hydration. Gains 75% strength in 7 days & 90% strength in 14 days.

    There isn’t any procedure or method statement but there are some guidelines for inspecting painting works in building, they are as follows ;

    • At first you should check the colour of your house, whether it is the same colour which you have chosen from the shade card or not. Also check that the colour scheme has been strictly followed.
    • Check that the paint on the walls does not drip. If signs of drips or dried drops are visible then immediately inform the painter to sand it down & retouch it because if it dries then sagging defect may happen.
    • Check that all the house paint is applied evenly and is free from runs & sags.
    • Check that the painted wall surface is smooth by running your hands along the walls for the imperfections.
    • Check whether the original colours are covered properly with the new colour coat.
    • Also check for the edges of the walls and make sure these lines are straight and sharp. Thus, uneven lines are signs of imperfections in workmanship of the painters.
    • Check whether caulking is done, also make sure that there is no leakage behind the trims or the ceiling and walls should be clean, straight and sharp.
    • At the corners of windows and doors, the coverage of paints should be even.
    • The lines between ceiling and trims or the ceiling and walls should be clean, straight and sharp.
    • Check if all the painted surfaces has been repaired such as nail holes, cracks, peeling paints and other defects & also check the paints near switch plates and outlet covers.
    • The brush marks and any other spots or patches should not be visible.
    • Check that all the stains of paint from floor, window glasses, grills, switch plates, etc have been carefully removed.
