    Weight of different ingredient of Mortar 1:3 - Here, I will give you a simple way to calculate the weight of different ingredients in a mortar.     Weight of different ingredient of Mortar 1:3 –

    Here, I will give you a simple way to calculate the weight of different ingredients in a mortar.


    • The mortar ratio is 1:3, it simply means that the 1 part of cement is present and 3 part of sand is present in that type of mortar.
    • Consider, w/c ratio = 0.4
    • We are doing all calculation for 1kg of mortar.

    1 part = 1/(0.4+1+3) = 0.227


    Water Required =0.25 x 0.227 = 0.056kg


    Cement= 0.2247 kg


    Sand =3.15 x0.227 = 0.717 kg

    • Height of Instrument :

    It is the method which deals with the obtaining of RL of the line of collimation by adding BS reading of a known RL point. Thus, RL of the line of collimation is called the Height of Instrument. It is always measured from the benchmark. Hence the benchmark is the point on the sea derived from mean sea level.

    – method to calculate RL;

    height of collimation (H of C) = reduced level(R.L.) + backsight (B.S.)

    reduced level (R.L.) = height of collimation (H of C) – foresight (F.S.)

    reduced level (R.L.) = height of collimation (H of C) – intermediate sight (I.S.)

     

    • Rise & fall method :

    It is the method which gives the difference of elevation between consecutive points by comparing each point after the first that immediately preceding it. Rise and fall are indicated by the difference in staff reading. After that RL is found by adding the rise to or subtracting the fall from the reduced level of the preceding point.

    – method to calculate RL;

    fall (F) = foresight (F.S.) – backsight (B.S.)

    fall (F) = intermediate sight (I.S.) – backsight (B.S.)

    rise (R) = backsight (B.S.) – foresight (F.S.)

    reduced level (R.L.) = precede reduced level  + rise (R)

    reduced level (R.L.) = precede reduce level – fall (F)

    First, choose a rectangular shape around the object and then going to the object.

    Then place a sufficiently large sheet of polythene in the space around the concrete object for covering the mold.

    Then take a standard bucket of 25-liter capacity and then slightly pour water within the polythene most do formed. Keep a count of the buckets of water poured till it overflows at the top of the brick wall.

    Measure the inside dimension and depth of the rectangular moat.

    Laterite is a rock and soil type substance which contain a high amount of iron and aluminium. It is commonly formed in hot and wet tropical areas. Mass Density of Laterite = 1019 kg/ m3 1 metric ton=1000kg Hence,  1m3 laterite = 1.019 metric ton Thank You.

    In simple words, detailing of composed mint is necessary for the structural steel and also for 10 force concrete structures to attend strength and durability. The figure is attached with shows the joining details of beams and columns.

    The main parts of them should be cracked near the columns and the length. It is in the ratio of 1:4. Any other cases the beam re pass must not pass from the column rebars outer surface which comprises the concrete cover.

    Instead of detailing the above different detailings are the wind for rehabilitation and strengthening the damaged elements.

    CORROSION refers to an electrochemical reaction between a metal and its environment. Steel will readily rust unless it is coated. Corrosion occurs when steel reacts with chloride ions (Cl-), CO2 in the presence of a toxic environment. Thus, corrosion is uneven erosion/pitting of metal surface due to intense rusting and is also harmful to the service performance of rebar.

    There are many ways of reducing the risk of corrosion-related distress in concrete. The first defencing layer is concrete, which should be thick and dense. Also, the cracks should be minimized. The concrete cover should be used appropriately.

    An additional measure for corrosion-resistant is that corrosion inhibiting admixtures should be used. Epoxy coatings should be done on rebar, which acts as a physical barrier and also isolates the steel from oxygen, moisture, and chloride ions (which are the three primary elements needed for corrosion to occur).

    Slopes in pipes and drains are decided by quantity of water or wastewater to be transported through it by the action of gravity in cumecs.     Slopes in pipes and drains are decided by quantity of water or wastewater to be transported through it by the action of gravity in cumecs. Following things influence the slopes of drains and pipes:

    1. Quantity of water to be transported

    2. Size or diameter of the pipe

    3. Distance the water to be carried

    4. Velocity or the pressure required for the water at the outlet, if any

    Slopes of drains and pipes at construction site is checked by dumpy level or level machines. For the same, you have to calculate depth of pipes at different intervals.

    Suppose, 1:4 slope of the pipe is required as per drawing (as mentioned by you), then the depth of pipe at should have a difference of 1 m from start of the pipe to the end of pipe at 4m. If you want to know the depth of pipe at 2m length, then it will be half of the end position, i.e. 0.5m. These are calculated based on triangle.

    Slopes are always mentioned w.r.t. a reference point. Consider your reference point as a levelled surface. Then length of the pipe required will be length of the triangle, base will be the depth required from the start to end of the pipe. Now you can divide the triangle at different point and calculate the depth required at different locations of the pipeline or drain system.

    When it throw on the water surface, it should stay on the surface before the sink for some time.

    cement bag should be used within three months of manufacturing

    for sand

    Basically, we check clay content in the sand by sand, taken in hand, and rub it. If there is clay is present, then particular clay sticks with hand moisture so we can observe easily.

    sand should be washable

    We can also check its uniformity by sieve if it’s present on site.

    aggregate

    aggregate should have well-graded we can check it by check packing (interlocking structure ) of it

    aggregate should not have any clay contain

     

    and other material we can check it by various experience .
