    Pre-stressed concrete is a form of concrete used in construction. It is substantially prestressed during production, in a manner that strengthens it against tensile forces which will exist when in service. According to the construction methods there are two kinds of prestressed concrete :-
    – Pre-tensioned concrete
    – Bonded Post-tensioned concrete
    – Unbonded Post-tensioned concrete

    The three types of members in prestressed concrete are as follows:-

    1. Neither allowing tension nor crack.
    2. Allowing tension within permissible stress but cracking is not allowed.
    3. Tension and crack both are allowed but within permissible stress.

    Rough flooring is of many types, it may be terrazzo flooring, clay rough flooring, natural stone rough flooring, ceramic tiles with a rough surface.

    Rough flooring may be used to decrease the rate of skating and sleeping. Mostly this type of flooring is used in bathrooms and toilets to provide good resistance and wear and tear when water is spread over the flooring surface.

    Following are some advantages of rough flooring:

    1. It provides good wear and tear which avoids sleeping when used in bathrooms and toilets.

    Centring of the column is done during the placing of layout on-site with the help of rope and plumb Bob.     Centring of the column is done during the placing of layout on-site with the help of rope and plumb Bob.

    For the construction of column following are the steps performed,

    1. Column layout
    2. Reinforcement of column
    3. Column formwork
    4. Concrete pouring

    Centring of the column is done with the help of plumb bob and rope. Plumb Bob placed vertically from the top of rope point and it touches to the ground. Mark the point where plumbob touch the ground and done the PCC work.

    What checking the vertical alignment, old a plumb bob at the top at any one edge of the column and inspect the plumb Bob is vertically straight and just touch the bottom offset of the column. If plumb Bob is inclined at some angle, then check its inclination where it shows the column is not vertical and inclined by some angle.

The system expanded after the abolition of slavery in the British empire in 1833. Following are some ‘Standards for workers’ accommodation: A. National/local standards B. General living facilities C. Room/dormitory facilities D. Sanitary and toilet facilities E. Canteen, cooking and laundry facilities F. Standards for nutrition and food safety G. Medical facilities H. Leisure, social and telecommunication facilities There is a large variety of workers’ living facilities. When cooking for a number of workers, hygiene and food safety are absolutely critical.

    3. Aluform which uses aluminium frames and various nut assemblies
    4. For underground works, PECAFORM.
    5. For various assemblies like U Jack, tie rod, tie nuts, scaffoldings, stair tower aluminium and steel is used depending on requirement. Where strength is main priority steel is used and in case of lightweight assembly like scaffoldings for work platforms, aluminium can be used.

    Generally,

    1. Wooden Planks And Plates.
    2. Playboards
    3. Steel Sheets, Make sure it is mild
    4. GI or corrugated sheets
    5. Require Scaffolding of wooden ballies
    6. Scaffolding of Metal Frames

    Rafter: Meaning: Rafter is one simple sloped structural member which is generally made up of wood. Purpose: It provides better ease in construction It distributes roof loads We can use rafter where the span is limited. It highly contributes to the economy.
