    Porotherm bricks are perforated clay brick. It is perforated horizontally or vertically.

    Size: 400 x 200 x 200mm

    It is a natural brick which has thermal insulation made from coal ash, natural clay and rice husk.

    Following are some advantages of porotherm bricks:

    1. Very good strength: compressive strength of brick is greater than 3.5 mm. The presence of terracotta gives higher strength to the bricks.
    2. Thermal insulation; due to its perforation it has high thermal insulation characteristics.
    3. Durability: perforated bricks have a water absorption ratio is around 15% which reduces the probability of cracks, dampness and shrinkage of walls. Also due to the high compressive strength and characteristics of fire resistance also make it highly durable and long-lasting.
    4. Economical: due to the method of perforation it reduces the manufacturing cost which saves energy and operating cost. This type of bricks balance the inner temperature with an outer temperature and avoid the usage of AC or heater in summer and winter respectively.
    5. Friendly to the environment: this brick can be recycled. all the materials for manufacturing of these bricks are natural which does not cause any allergic effect to the environment.
    6. Increases construction speed: for the construction of the wall made with porotherm bricks does not need curing. Due to its lightweight handling is easy and quick which reduces effective labour time.
    7. Porotherm bricks should be cut with a chisel and can be fixed at a fissure cracks. This breaks n sure a dry and clean site with fast construction.

    Gantt chart enable the user(s) or a team to create and share a visual planning regarding a project or event you are managing to your colleagues or management. By doing this, you will increase the chance on finishing the project in a more efficient way, which will increase the companies effectiveness.

    Therefore, Gantt charts are seen as a very effective project management planning tools, especially when more than 1 person is involved in the success that follows after succeeding of a project. The total of all elementary project components can be called “the work breakdown structure of the project”.

    This is how it looks like in a Gantt chart:

    As you can see, the difference between the list of activities, and the Gantt chart that shows the work breakdown structure, are the following advantages:

    • Simplifying the complexity of a project;
    • Synergy effect among all team members, and making it more effective;
    • Every stakeholder is on the same page;
    • Determining milestones and deliverables according a fixed time schedule;
    • Creating team productivity;
    • Making everything visual and manageable.

    Advanced Gantt charts additionally demonstrate the reliance (i.e., priority) connections between deliverables (which shows a liability as well for all team members). Gantt charts can be applied to show current project status by informing the percentage of successful completion of the project, and a vertical “Today” line can be implemented here as well.

    Gantt charts allow you to schedule activities and resources and are helpful when you are planning and tracking various business processes. For example, you can have a list of activities on the left and a suitable time scale along the top in order to see the following at a glance:

    List of activities that are needed to be done

    • Beginning and ending of activity;
    • Time that is available per activity;
    • The liability between 2 ore more activities;
    • The whole project’s start and end dates.

    For example, here you can see a generic Event Gantt chart, which structures the following activities:

    1. Determine host event
    2. Pick a budget
    3. Pick a location
    4. Pick a date
    5. Make a guest list
    6. Choose a theme
    7. Send out invitations
    8. Order equipment
    9. Plan the food menu
    10. Line up extra hands
    11. Execute last minute orders
    12. Help with thank you notes
    13. Prepare some games
    14. Follow up RSVP stragglers
    15. Make the goody bags
    16. Plan take away gifts
    17. Assign photographer
    18. Clean up
    19. Prepare food
    20. Complete groceries
    21. Quick cleaning sweep
    22. Set up party space
    23. Pick up the cake
    24. Designate honoree

    As far as what they do there is no difference, and both support weight loading above them. Shape wise a lintel is usually flat compared to the curved shape of an arch. Strength wise the arch is far superior and only compresses more the greater the loading, compared with a lintel that has limitations to what it will hold before failing due to compression.

    Having said that most lintels carry very little weight anyway as it is spread out through the interlocking of stone, block, or brick and the only weight it actually carries can be measured by drawing a line at 45° from each end of the lintel until they cross in the centre above it and what its actual loading is. Beyond that, the wall supports its own weight and that above it providing something supports the interlocking material and how the Victorians managed to support mass weight purely on timber lintels only 3 inches thick. With lintels, span becomes an issue very quickly much less so with an arch

    • The boundary of the land which belongs to a building or where the land abuts a road, Railway, Canal, river and Centre Line of road, railway, canal and river.
    • A relevant boundary is a boundary or National boundary that one side of the building faces  and that is parallel or at an angle of a maximum of 80 degrees on that side of the building
    • A national boundary is a boundary presumes to exist between two buildings on the same site

    Plastering deductions as per IS code 1200. For opening of size 0.5 m2 to 3 m2 area, deduction is made on one face of the wall. For openings of size above 3 m2, deduction is made on both faces of the wall, but the area of sill, jamb and soffits of the opening is added.

    Here, I am discussing some important reasons behind Steel plates inserted inside the bearing, especially in elastomeric bearings are as follows;

    1. For restricting the freedom of bearings to bulge and hence the deflection will get reduced when compared with bearings without any steel plates under the same load.

    2. Inducing tensile stresses which limits bulging of the elastomer which provides a limit to the thickness of the steel plates

    3. Steel plates have the special property that it doesn’t affect the shear stiffness of Elasticmetric bearings.

    4. For increasing compression stiffness of elastomeric bearing by limiting the amount of lateral bulging

    5. To function the bearing as a soft Spring in elastomeric bearing

    6. Bearing should be allowed for bulging laterally in elastomeric bearing
